Students On A Mission

Published: April 13, 2021

Two Greenville College student and faculty teams are headed to Central and South America to participate in missions work. The teams are traveling to Ecuador and Guatemala May 24 - June 6.

The first crew of students, led by GC professors Dr. Greg Sanders and Dr. Sandra Schmidt , will be in Quito, Ecuador for a two week, life-changing missions trip. Students will spend their time in Ecuador volunteering at two schools, and sharing the message of Christ. The group will teach English, play sports, lead art and music, and travel around the beautiful Ecuadorian countryside and cityscape. Follow the team at http://ecuador2010-gc.blogspot.com/ .

The second crew of ten GC students, faculty and staff, led by Deloy Cole , will be in Magdalena, Guatemala for a Digital Media practicum, ministry outreach, and cultural engagement experience. While in Guatemala, team members will join with Students International to work at a media site, in medical and veterinary clinic outreaches, and with physical therapy patients. The outreaches are being facilitated to develop the community of Magdalena into an equipped and enabled people, ready to not only sustain themselves, but minister to others in need as well. Follow the Guatemala team on facebook.

Please pray for both teams as they serve the Lord with their gifts and talents over the next two weeks-for safe travel, health, and for the spiritual growth of both the students and people with whom they will share Christ's love every step of the way.
