A Direct Path from an Illinois Community College to Greenville University

Greenville University’s new Direct Admit pathway makes it easier for Illinois community college students to transfer and complete their bachelor’s degree.

Students with at least 24 transferable credit hours may qualify for direct admission to Greenville University. By connecting students with the university earlier in their community college journey, the pathway simplifies the transfer process and helps them begin planning for their bachelor’s degree sooner.

Greenville selected the lower credit-hour threshold to provide opportunities for students who are ready to transfer before completing a full two years at a community college.

Transfer students at Greenville University can bring in up to 90 transfer credit hours and are paired with a centralized academic advisor to help create a clear path to graduation.

University officials say this personalized advising model helps students stay on track while making the transition to a four-year institution.

Greenville's small class sizes and supportive campus community also provide an environment where students receive individualized attention from faculty while becoming involved in campus life through academic programs, student organizations, athletics, music ensembles, Esports, and other activities.

Greenville University provides students pursuing engineering, business, STEM disciplines, and pre-professional pathways with close faculty mentorship and preparation for graduate and professional schools.

In addition to academic support, Greenville provides institutional financial aid averaging approximately $22,000 for each transfer student. Students may also qualify for state and federal financial aid, helping reduce the overall cost of completing a bachelor's degree.
